Requirement

CBP has an ongoing requirement to interdict contraband including, but not limited to weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, and currency, through the examination of various conveyances. As part of its layered enforcement strategy, CBP officers utilize Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) systems like Low-Energy Portals (LEP) for inspecting smaller vehicles such as privately owned vehicles (POVs), including cars, sport utility vehicles, pickup trucks, motorcycles, commercial vans, dual-rear wheeled trucks, and towed trailers, as well as Multi-Energy Portals (MEP) for inspecting larger, occupied commercial vehicles, including buses, recreational vehicles, and truck tractors with laden semitrailers and trailers. CBP anticipates awarding a 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract to support the procurement and deployment of these LEP and MEP systems. Acquisition Strategy: Full and open competition using competitive procedures as prescribed in Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Subpart 12.202-2, Other Procedures (NAICS code:334517).

This is a planning forecast, not a solicitation. Dates, values, and set-asides are agency estimates and can change before the official RFP is posted on SAM.gov.
