The Past Performance library gathers your organization's contract history in one list. Use it to find the right references for a new proposal: work for the same agency, under the same NAICS code, at a similar size, with a strong rating.
Open Past Performance in the sidebar. The page is called Past Performance Library.
Records
The list, Performance Records, combines two sources:
- Project sheets and past proposals from your asset library. Their details come from the AI analysis of each document.
- Contracts your team has entered on the Contracts page. See The Contracts page.
When a contract has the same title as a project sheet or past proposal, only the asset is listed, so the same work does not appear twice.
Each record shows its title, the agency or client, the contract value, the period of performance, the NAICS code, the contract number, up to five tags and its CPARS rating. A detail that is not recorded is simply left off the card. For an asset, the title is the project or proposal name the analysis found, or the asset's title when none was found.
The filter bar has drop-down filters for agency, contract value, CPARS rating and NAICS code, and a search box. Filters hides or shows the drop-downs. Search matches the title, agency, NAICS code, contract number and tags. Clear All resets the filters. The count beside the list reads "N of M records".
Three tiles sit above the list. All three follow your filters.
- Total Award Value adds up the contract value recorded on each record shown. Past proposals count too, whether or not they were won, so this is a total of recorded values, not of awards won. It shows "--" when no record carries a value.
- Exceptional Ratings counts records rated Exceptional. See the next section.
- Recompete Success Rate always reads "Not recorded". See the last section.
The sidebar has three panels:
- Intelligence Radar lists the first four records in the filtered list.
- AI-Suggested References lists up to three of the filtered records that carry a CPARS rating, in list order.
- Rating Distribution counts the filtered records at each CPARS rating.
When the library has no records, the page reads "No past performance records found" and asks you to upload project sheets or past proposals in the asset library. See The asset library.
CPARS ratings
CPARS rates contractor performance on a five-word scale: Exceptional, Very Good, Satisfactory, Marginal and Unsatisfactory. Propivix reads a rating for each project sheet or past proposal from its analysis. Contracts entered on the Contracts page have no rating field, so they never show one.
A rating is often written in a sentence, such as "Exceptional (2024) rating". Propivix reduces what was written to the scale word it contains, here Exceptional. It checks the longest words first, so "Unsatisfactory" is never read as "Satisfactory". Text that contains none of the five words gives no rating. Filtering on a rating and counting ratings both use the reduced word.
Some ratings come from a rating field the analysis filled in. Others were found only among the key metrics the analysis listed from the document's text, such as a metric named "CPARS Rating" with the value "Exceptional". Both count as ratings.
The Exceptional Ratings tile says which kind it counted:
- "from N rated records": how many records carry any rating. None of the Exceptional ones came only from record text.
- "N · from record text": every Exceptional rating counted came from record text.
- "from N rated records (K from record text)": K of the Exceptional ratings came from record text.
No rating is checked against CPARS itself. Each one is what the analysis found in your document, so check the source before you cite it in a proposal.
When no record carries a rating, the tile reads "Not recorded" instead of 0.
What 'Not recorded' means
"Not recorded" means Propivix has no data for the figure. It does not mean zero.
Recompete Success Rate always reads "Not recorded", because Propivix stores no recompete results. Contracts can carry a recompete date, but nothing records whether a recompete was retained or lost. Propivix does not estimate the figure from CPARS ratings or anything else.
Exceptional Ratings reads "Not recorded" when none of the records shown has a CPARS rating. If a project sheet states its rating but none was recorded, select Re-analyze on it in the asset library. Also check that your filters are not hiding rated records.
Your organization's win rate across proposals is a different figure. See How win rate is calculated.
