Every member of your organization has one role. The role decides what Propivix lets them change. You choose it when you invite someone. The permissions in this article are enforced by the server, so they hold even if someone reaches a button or a page directly.
Roles
You can give a teammate one of six roles when you invite them. The table shows what each role may change. Every role can sign in and see your organization's RFPs, proposals and library.

A few rules sit on top of the table:
- Approvals: the reviewer assigned to an approval can approve or reject it, whatever their role. An Admin can decide any approval. See Approval Workflows.
- Marking a proposal approved: no role can set a proposal's status to approved by editing it. Approval comes only from the review decisions.
- Multi-factor authentication: Admins, Managers and Proposal Leads must set up multi-factor authentication before they can use the dashboard. Sending an invitation or saving the Business Profile also needs a recent verification in the current session. See Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Two roles are not in the table because you cannot give them:
- Super admin is a Propivix staff role. No one in your organization can grant it, by invitation or any other way.
- Org admin is an older role that some organizations still have. It cannot be granted by invitation, and its permissions are not the same as Admin's. If you need a member's role changed, contact support.
Who can invite whom
An invitation grants a role, so it follows the same rules as any other change of role.

The role list in the invitation form shows all six roles to everyone who can open it. If you pick a role yours cannot grant, Propivix refuses the invitation and names the roles you can invite.
The check runs a second time when the invitation is accepted. Propivix looks up the sender's role as it is at that moment. If the sender can no longer grant the role, for example because they have since been given a lower role, the invitation is refused with: "This invitation grants a role its sender cannot grant. Ask an administrator to send a new invitation." Ask an Admin to send a new one.
An invitation also has to be accepted by the email address it was sent to, and it expires after seven days. See Inviting Team Members.
Who can edit assets and proposals
Assets: Admins, Managers, Proposal Leads and Contributors can upload assets, edit them and delete them. Reviewers and Viewers can read the library but not change it.
Proposals: Admins, Managers, Proposal Leads and Contributors can edit a proposal, generate its sections one at a time or all together, and save their changes. Deleting a proposal is limited to Admins, Managers and Proposal Leads; a Contributor cannot delete one.
Business Profile: only Admins and Managers can save changes on Business Profile. For everyone else, saving shows an error and nothing changes.
If a button does nothing for you, or you see a message saying you do not have permission, your role is the likely reason. Ask an Admin in your organization.
