The Edit RFP details dialog lets you correct the three details people most often need to fix after upload: the title, the client name and the submission deadline. Everything else on the RFP page comes from the analysis of the documents.
Edit title, client and deadline
- Open RFPs in the sidebar and select the RFP.
- Select Edit in the page header. The Edit RFP details dialog opens with the current values filled in.
- Change any of the three fields:
- Title is required. A title you type here is never replaced by a later analysis, because analysis replaces only a title that is still an uploaded file's name.
- Client name is optional. It is shown as Agency in the fact strip. If you clear it, the strip falls back to the federal agency name the analysis found, or reads "Not stated".
- Submission deadline takes a date and a time. If you clear it, the deadline on file stays as it was.
- Select Save changes.
The dialog closes and the page reloads the RFP. The Due field in the fact strip shows the deadline and the days remaining. RFP facts at a glance explains the fact strip.
After saving, confirm that the Due date matches the solicitation. If it does not, open Edit RFP details again and correct the deadline.
Select Cancel to close the dialog without saving.
The dialog does not change the solicitation number, the estimated value or the requirements. Those come from the upload and the analysis. See Re-analyzing an RFP to refresh them from the documents.
When the document and your deadline disagree
If you entered a deadline at upload and the document states a different one, the RFP page shows a warning: "The document states a due date of ... You entered ... Edit the deadline if the document is right." To resolve it:
- Compare both dates with the solicitation.
- Select Edit, and set Submission deadline to the correct date and time. Change the field even if the date shown is already right, for example by re-entering it.
- Select Save changes. The warning clears.
The warning clears only when you change the Submission deadline field in the dialog. Saving a title or client name change alone leaves it in place.
A later Re-analyze can also change the deadline. When the document states a date that differs from the one on file, re-analysis replaces it with the document's date.
If saving fails
If Propivix cannot save your changes, the dialog stays open. An error message appears at the top of the dialog, and everything you typed is still in the fields.
- Read the message. It describes what went wrong.
- Correct the field if the message points to one, or wait a moment if it does not.
- Select Save changes again.
You can close the error message with its close button. Selecting Cancel closes the dialog and discards what you typed, so copy anything you want to keep first.
