What is a Go/No-Go Decision?

A Go/No-Go decision determines whether your organization should pursue an RFP. Not every opportunity is worth the effort—this decision helps you focus resources on winnable work.

Accessing Go/No-Go

  1. Open the RFP detail page
  2. Click Go/No-Go Decision in the actions area
  3. Review the evaluation criteria
  4. Make your decision

Evaluation Factors

Consider these factors when deciding:

Strategic Fit

  • Does this align with your business goals?
  • Is this your target market/client?
  • Will this help you grow strategically?

Competitive Position

  • Do you have relevant experience?
  • Are you the incumbent?
  • Do you have relationships with the client?

Resource Availability

  • Do you have the team to deliver?
  • Is the timeline realistic?
  • Can you commit the required resources?

Financial Viability

  • Is the budget range acceptable?
  • Are the payment terms workable?
  • Is the profit margin sufficient?

Win Probability

  • What's your realistic chance of winning?
  • Do you meet all mandatory requirements?
  • How strong is the competition?

Recording Your Decision

Go Decision

If you decide to pursue:

  1. Select Go
  2. Add notes about why you're pursuing
  3. Assign a proposal lead
  4. Set internal milestones

No-Go Decision

If you decide not to pursue:

  1. Select No-Go
  2. Record the primary reason
  3. Add any notes for future reference

Common No-Go reasons:

  • Outside core competencies
  • Insufficient time to respond
  • Budget too low
  • Better opportunities available
  • Missing required qualifications
